ABSTRACT

A twin tunnel is constructed in a challenging construction environment such as shallow tunnel and neighboring construction. Therefore, it is considered that the occurrence mechanism of crack in tunnel lining concrete of twin tunnels is more complicated than single tunnel. In the twin tunnel (A tunnel) which target of this study, crack occurrence in tunnel lining concrete was increased after the twin tunnel completed, because of difference in construction of two tunnels (first tunnel and second tunnel). In this research, we carried out excavation simulation of the second tunnel by using 3D-numerical analysis. In addition, we assumed the occurrence mechanism of crack that occurred after the twin tunnel completed by considering load that acts on the tunnel lining concrete after the twin tunnels are completed.
