ABSTRACT
The continuous expansion of the Istanbul metropolis, the peculiarities of the city with the complicated urban texture characterized by new and historical infrastructures and buildings, the presence of the Bosporus that divides the city into the Asiatic and European sec-tors, are all factors to be considered in the mobility development plan of Istanbul. Local and national administration radically faced the situation by adopting the decision to realize a vast network of subways, large more than 500km, to be built within 2025. The current projects are part of this large transit development plan. The whole projects have been designed with a “full BIM 360” approach. Project management, coordination between disciplines, Bill of Quantities and 4D&5D simulations have been implemented through BIM approach, by means of developing specific codes for Revit and the other tools. The approach followed, and the main results obtained are described in the paper.
