This chapter draws together the findings of the three case studies and analyses trends across each of the sites. It suggests that due to the way in which the English Defence League has been problematised in each location as a threat to the public order (more due to the associated counter demonstration than directly) and community cohesion, rather than as a counter terrorism threat, Prevent Strategy prioritisation has had very little impact on local responses to the movement. It goes on to highlight the continued difficulties of delineating between Prevent and community cohesion efforts, especially since the latter have been subjected to extensive funding cuts as a result of the U.K. Government’s austerity measures since 2011.
