ABSTRACT
Hardly a week goes by without a news story about prescription drug abuse. The statistics are staggering and the stories told by its victims horrific. We read about medical professionals over-prescribing these drugs, about patients shopping for oxycodone and other drugs, or about addicted consumers buying these drugs on the street. Those who divert pharmaceuticals from legitimate sources sometimes make huge profits at the expense of harming or even murdering their customers.
