ABSTRACT
The repair of concrete structure is more challenging and needs competent engineers and consultants as well. The selection of the concrete cover demolishing methods based on the causes of corrosion if it is due to carbonation or chlorides and in addition to that it must consider if it is proposed to perform cathodic protection. There are several ways to remove the part of the concrete member that has a cracked surface and steel corrosion on the surface. The grinding machine is usually used after the water gun or the pneumatic hammer to obtain final concrete breakdown around and under the steel reinforcement. When water jet is used in the breakers, the steel will be cleaned and corrosion will be removed from it; however if it is not used in the water gun, the corrosion will be removed by sandblasting.
