ABSTRACT
There are many problems that will occur in a building and these will be due to bad selection of the materials itself or lack of doing the required inspection and tests. There are many tests that are used to define the cement fines, and one of these tests is based on Blaine apparatus, as stated in many codes such as the Egyptian code. It is known that the initial setting time is the time required for concrete to set and after that it cannot be poured or formed and the final setting time is the time required for the concrete to be hardened. The cement mortar compressive strength test is performed with standard cubes of cement mortar. The concrete gain its compressive strength from the presence of cement paste resulting from the interaction that occurs between the cement and water added to the mix.
