ABSTRACT
“Design Thinking to Drive Classroom Change” provides a how-to for teachers looking to transition their practice for a 21st-century classroom with greater personalized learning and innovation. This chapter examines the six primary elements of design thinking—empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test and adjust—through the lens of classroom teaching. Its purpose is to give teachers the flexibility to pivot and adapt to the needs of students and the curriculum.
