ABSTRACT

“Building a Holistic Learning Culture” considers how to take the traditional classroom with its subject silos and convert it into a place where curriculum is taught across a variety of activities and situations. This is holistic learning and it is required to prepare students for the 21st-century workplace, which will value people who are adaptable, innovative, receptive to change and able to collaborate. Doucet introduces readers to his Teach ME process, which he developed over a decade teaching middle and high school students, as a three-step guide for classroom culture change.
