Embroidery: The narrative of the ribbon of the presentation of Arthur Bispo do Rosário—confluences with contemporary visual artists

This paper proposes an investigation about the embroidery in the work “Manto da Apresentação” [Mantle of Presentation], done by the artist Arthur Bispo do Rosário. The Manto’s narrative reports to a wide use of different kinds of elements linked to events of his life. The aim here is contemplating the embroidery as a visual language. Nowadays, it is being considered a new medium of expression, how we can check in the work of contemporary artists.
