ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the influence of socio-economic status of families on the academic achievements of students in BPI 1 Senior High School, particularly in 10th grade. This study population involves 156 students with research samples as many as 95 students. Analysis tool used in this research is data collection using a questionnaire. The author found that the learning outcomes of students in school has a high correlation with the socio-economic status of families, and thereby coming to a conclusion that, in general, the school needs funds to get good learning outcomes, and requires infrastructure, which also depends on the funds available. Socio-economic status of families includes education, income and the occupation of parents. Thus, parents who have a high socio-economic background will be able to provide a wide range of learning necessities for their children and, as a result, children’s learning outcomes will also be elevated.
