ABSTRACT
The game that truly defined the term “edutainment,” the Carmen Sandiego series remains one of the most popular educational games ever. Besides Where in the World, there were versions of the game for the U.S.A., America’s Past, Space, Europe, Time, and a special edition for Japan. The game also inspired a Saturday morning cartoon series that ran for nearly five years.
