ABSTRACT
We have been focusing on the importance of experiencing and acknowledging failure. But that focus, like any focus, deserves to be leavened with alternatives. That’s where the creative spirit comes in because creativity, by its very nature, cannot fail—indeed, it refuses to fail. Through the industry of imagination we have no choice but to succeed in the sense that, if nothing else, imagination results in our having created something—even if it is imaginary.
