ABSTRACT
Coming to the end of a research project of this kind, one is always struck by the vast quantity of material that has been left unsaid. Translation Studies is a particularly vast field, being placed, as it is, at the intersection between many different disciplines. Indeed, the translator has to be something of a virtuoso, passing in one day through fields as different as medicine, nuclear physics, agronomy, etc. Small wonder, then, that the theorist has some difficulties in encompassing such wide possibilities into one study.
