ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses perspectives of digital-based research in transcultural studies. Following a brief definition of digital humanities, several possibilities for cooperation within transcultural studies are presented; these may be based on data- or theory-driven approaches. Fundamental to the design of digital-based research projects is the differentiation of methods, procedures and tools in digital humanities which enable different levels of digital data collection and analysis.
