ABSTRACT

The institutional answers – state, employers, trade unions, Ministry of Education and Labour – often are directed at continuity and adjustment of structures, but the dynamics of production reveal the provisional nature of these answers. The young and the adults live either in situations of marginalisation and uncertainty concerning their function and their identity, or they gain rapid promotion. The issue is the disorder provoked by the evolutions and ruptures of productive and social relationships. This enterprise may ask for education with very rich cultural components and strongly oriented towards theoretical and empirical research, both on the individual and the collective level. The resurgence of education will occur – in the same way as that of productivity – through a stimulation of research and of cultural action. The educational and productive experiences are determined by social relationships, technological development and the nature of international political and economic relations.
