ABSTRACT
TheanalysisinthepreviousChaptersgavetheimpressionthattheChineseworking mothersinChinahadaccesstoarichnetworkofsupportresourcesinallaspects oftheirlives.Whilethispicturewastrueformostoftheinterviewees,therewere casesinwhichsupportwasweakandthewomenhadtorelyprimarilyon themselvesandtheirhusbandsforsupport.Infact,adetailedanalysisofthedata showedthatthereweredifferentpatternsofsupportstrategiesadoptedbythe Chineseworkingmothersandtherewereinterestingreasonsunderlyingthe evolvementofthesedifferentsupportpatterns.
