ABSTRACT
InthelastthreeChapters,Ihavepresentedthemajorfindingsoftheresearchwith threedifferentperspectives.TheChapteronthesocialsupportofChineseworking mothersthroughthelifecoursehelpedtoillustratethefactthatsocialsupportisnot staticandthatitisconstantlyevolvingasaresultofthedynamicinterplaybetween multifariousfactorsbothinternalandexternaltotheindividualsconcerned.Inthe Chapteronsupportrelationships,Ihaveidentifiedthevarioussourcesofsupport fortheChineseworkingmothersandhavedemonstratedtherichnessofthesupport resourcesuponwhichtheChinesewomencouldderivetheirhelpandconsolation from.TheChapteronsupportstrategiesidentifiedthreemajortypesofsupport strategieswhichtheChineseworkingmothershadadoptedintheirprocessof copingwiththechallengesintheirrespectivelifecourse.
