ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses an important framework to formulate the mean value function for a multi-upgradation software reliability growth model by generalizing a methodical approach to cater the fault from all previous releases in the current offering. In the competitive environment the role of software has been expanded and impacted every level of society. The growth of the technology sector has advocated users to transform all activities into a digital platform. The applicability of software in the virtually connected economy has increased the core business operation of various organizations day by day. For this very reason the software has to give a consistent performance in every task. Reliability is one of the foremost important attributes of quality. The majority of complex software systems consider reliability as one essential factor to enumerate failures during the development and quality control process. Specifically, software testing contributes an important role during the software development process.
