ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we provide a detailed introduction to theory and evidence pertaining to research into personality-parenting associations. We then proceed to review issues central to the study of personality and, subsequently, parenting. Thereafter, we provide an extensive review of empirical research on personality-parenting associations before describing directions for future research and drawing some general conclusions.
