ABSTRACT
The focus on the legal aspects of human rights nationally and cross-nationally has in general led to a lack of emphasis on the social-structural basis of rights. As a result, data on cross-national reproductive rights are seldom limited with cross-national socioeconomic data. The emphasis on socioeconomic factors influencing reproductive rights in this study necessitates the creation of a data set containing socioeconomic variables and measures of reproductive rights.
