ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to explain why multiculturalism must be learned in early childhood education. The existence of ethnic groups, races, languages, gender, religion and others in Indonesia and the differences there of absolutely deserves to be studied in early childhood educational settings. The aim is to help children develop identities, increase their knowledge and understanding of their unique culture. Multiculturalism as a thought and movement consists of elevating values in the form of respect for differences in terms of ethnicity, race, language, gender, religion, and more.
