ABSTRACT

The curriculum serves as a reference for teachers to facilitate children in carrying out learning activities. An appropriate learning approach will help achieve the expected educational objectives. The scientific approach is ideally implemented in various early childhood learning experiences. In early childhood the introduction of the scientific process is done by involving the child directly in the activities of doing and experiencing the search for information by asking questions. In order to implement a scientific approach optimally, a thorough understanding of teachers is required so that every stage of scientific approach such as observing, questioning, gathering information, reasoning and communicating can be done optimally and in accordance with the needs and characteristics of the child. This article aims to find out more about the implementation of the 2013 curriculum-based approach in early childhood learning using various literature that relevant to the study. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of the implementation of a scientific approach in early childhood learning so that it can become a reference for teacher in facilitating learning that suits the needs and characteristics of early childhood.
