ABSTRACT
Nursing, like many other healthcare professions is infused with its own jargon. Part of the skill of nursing involves being able to decipher and understanding the meanings of results and abbreviations. The aim of this text is to supply you with this information which will help you understand this language so that you can provide appropriate holistic care to your patients. The first part is an extensive list of abbreviations. The second section looks at normal values to help you interpret information that you receive relating to your patients and commonly used assessment tools.
