ABSTRACT
A 2-year-old male presents to the emergency department (ED) with darkening of skin inside his diaper area. There is an irregular, patchy pattern of distribution on the buttocks and inguinal fold. Mom found him in the bathroom with a spilled bottle of bleach. She rushed him to the ED concerned he may have ingested some bleach. No lesions were seen in his mouth but lesions were found after undressing him in the ED. The mother did not notice them at home.
