ABSTRACT

A 14-year-old male presents to the emergency department with right knee pain. He is a member of a tumbling team. He performed a front flip and heard a “pop” after he landed. He had severe pain in his right knee with subsequent swelling and was unable to ambulate. On exam he appears uncomfortable. He has limited range of motion of his right knee secondary to pain. There is swelling and tenderness to palpation at the knee joint. He is unable to ambulate.
