ABSTRACT

A 9-year-old female presents with one day of worsening abdominal pain, inability to ambulate secondary to pain, vomiting, and poor oral intake. Earlier in the week, she developed vomiting and diarrhea and was treated briefly with intravenous hydration, after which time she had improvement in her symptoms. Over the past 24 hours, she became more ill-appearing with worsening of her clinical status.
