ABSTRACT

Clinicians understand their intuition to come from several different sources. Some believe it comes from a transcendental source. Others cite a unitive factor as an explanation; this factor is not necessarily seen as “beyond,” but more a “between” phenomenon with intuition acting as a form of connection. Some understand their intuition to be related to the flow of energy, with the suggestion that this energy carries information. Another common understanding among therapists is that intuition is the product of accumulated knowledge, experience, and wisdom.
