ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the various broad categories of risk control measure and how they can be organised into hierarchies according to their effectiveness. It also considers how this effectiveness can be measured in terms of adjustments to risk ratings. The chapter ends with notes on the calculation of the cost-effectiveness of risk control measures and choosing risk control measure.
