ABSTRACT
MRCA, the aircraft known as Tornado, is a collaborative project involving Britain, Italy and the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG). When MRCA is finally produced it will make up about half the RAF’s combat capability in the 1980s; it is intended to replace Canberra, Buccaneer, Vulcan and, eventually, Phantom. It is the major military aerospace project for Britain at the present time.
