ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the Program Management Performance Domains. Program steering committee includes Organizational leaders, program managers, program teams, and possibly a Program Management Office based on specific requirements of the program or its sponsoring organization. The program manager is authorized to lead the teams responsible for achieving the program's goals and objectives. Both portfolio and program managers work together to ensure desired benefits are effectively and efficiently delivered. Program sponsor is a person or group who provides resources and support for the program and is accountable for its success. Practitioners demonstrate a commitment to ethical and professional conduct, which means they carry with it an obligation to comply with laws, regulations, and organizational and professional policies. For best results in managing change, all components are performed in a way that contribute to the program's outcome and contributed benefits or reduce negative outcomes.
