ABSTRACT

This chapter explores the development of an elder women’s group working in and with woodland to explore and celebrate women’s aging. It is written from the perspective of its facilitators and the wood, including voices of group participants. The chapter explores how the group process and facilitation style unfolded into a collaborative and co-created space for ritual, creativity and community. No longer operating purely for personal transformation, the group developed practices of embodied ritual and sacred space in service to all.
