ABSTRACT
One year into the creation of a Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a majority in the Commission on Human Rights still use the wording ‘all men’ instead of ‘everyone.’ Some male delegates suggested a footnote to the Declaration explaining that ‘all men’ includes women. The strategy in the Commission on the Status of Women is to make the language in the Declaration itself inclusive of women’s rights.
