ABSTRACT

Under the drive of nurturing a safety culture for the maritime industry, this paper presents a Life-Cycle Risk (damage stability) Management (LCRM) framework, which aims at controlling and managing risk through analysing the relevant risk control measures in design, operation and emergency phases. Affiliated to LCRM framework and inherent with important potential meanings, a pro-active damage stability verification framework for damage control measure is one of the essential elements for the realisation of LCRM. This paper elaborates this concept step by step along with a case study example.
