Religion and the postsecular

This chapter highlights the need for a reconsideration of the sense conjured by the term “religion” when it is placed in the context of the Indian secular narrative. The suggestion is that such reconsideration can permit reflection on the contrasting and divergent meanings that may be attributed to the term “postsecular” in its Western and Indian registers.
