ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the two new skills preventing businesses from fully attaining a Management 3.0 system. Tools 1 and 2 are business tools to help the management better plan for the future and develop the entire work team. Mentoring is a skill management needs to encourage in the workplace. Mentors and students need to create, on their own, a mentor–student relationship. Quality and morale problems were the norm and it was even common knowledge that trust among the top management team was a major concern. In practically all businesses, there are people, usually young ones, who wish to have a mentor. Likewise, there are always some more seasoned managers and workers who wish to become mentors. Hansei is a Japanese term which roughly means deep reflection. It is a process they routinely perform following any project.
