ABSTRACT
This chapter offers an overview of how Generation Z engages in dating and romantic relationships. The focus is on where they seek relationship partners (both online and in person), how they begin dating, and how they go about breaking up. A discussion on the role of technology is integrated into this chapter as online dating and social media connections offer new ways to meet people, date, and even end relationships. In addition, this chapter pays particular attention to modern-day public displays of affection, social media surveillance of dating partners, hanging out, and hooking up.
