ABSTRACT

Active power filters are simply power electronic converters that are specifically designed to inject harmonic current into the system. Synchronous current detection, least squares fitting, and PLL are explained in this chapter. Determination of phase reference current is addressed with equation proof. Simulation and output waveforms of the systems are added to show the effectiveness of the active filter in phase coordinates. The reduction of input current harmonics is illustrated in this chapter with waveforms and harmonic analysis.
