ABSTRACT

This chapter shows that results of studies of some nursery practices on the growth performance of Neolamarckia cadamba seedlings. The genetic resources of N. cadamba are secure as they are widespread and abundant in the natural forest. Their economic importance saw the establishment of seed stands in natural settings and in trial and commercial plantations. A study on the growth performance of N. cadamba seedlings using different quantities of Agroblen fertilizer was carried out to identify the suitable quantity of Agroblen fertilizer for N. cadamba seedlings to grow at nursery stage for a period time of 10 weeks. The cost of treatment preparation was associated with the effect on N. cadamba seedlings’ growth rate for each treatment. The objective of this cost preparation calculation is to determine the economical cost accordance with good growth rates N. cadamba seedling in the nursery.
