ABSTRACT

The performance of a dual-hop asymmetric free space optical (FSO) network is analyzed in this paper. The first and second hops are modeled by Double Generalized Gamma (DGG) distribution and Málaga distribution respectively. The relay is based on amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol. The end-to-end link performance is analyzed for the intensity modulation with direct detection (IM/DD) and heterodyne detection based FSO system in different turbulent conditions under the impact of pointing error.
