ABSTRACT
This paper describes the development of the Social network platform Grouppy. Grouppy is an online smart p;ortal which allows users to create their own network for their respective organizations. It is the best way for a school, college, company or an organization to keep in check the status of what’s going on in their network. Every individual in a network can be up to date about upcoming events and schedules and can plan to be one step ahead. Currently individuals in schools, colleges or other organizations has to be notified by the upcoming schedules via unreliable resources such as whatsapp (what if someone didn’t check their message), or friends(who forgot to tell you about that). Also, for students, keeping track of their attendance is not easy. In this project, when the user updates the information about an event like someone arrange a network meeting or teacher marks attendance of the student or make changes in the school/college timetable, it will send a direct notification to everyone in the network about that event.
