ABSTRACT

In this chapter we propose a secure spatial domain data hiding algorithm for embedding secret data in RGB image cover files. In our proposed approach, chaotic redistribution of the secret data and chaotic selection of embedding destination leave no trace of the original pattern of the data in the final stego-image. Experimental results show that, if intercepted, the stego image passes all the tests in NIST, DIEHARD and ENT test suites, thus making it extremely difficult to make sense without the keys. Further, it is shown that the proposed algorithm has very good visual quality as measured in Peak Signal to Noise Ration (PSNR) and Structural Similarity (SSIM).
