ABSTRACT

Security is the main concern for the Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) especially because of its resource constrained environment and deployment in the hostile environment. An adversary can monitor and manipulate the network provided necessary skill sets to breach the integrity and confidentiality of the network. There are several security schemes developed which may be based on cryptography, secure routing, secure location, key management etc. The use of keying material and key generation is the inseparable part of most of the security schemes. The Key management schemes can be symmetric or asymmetric in nature. Symmetric key cryptography based schemes are preferred in WSN to save the resources for longer time. In this paper, we have explored different polynomial based key management schemes which come under Symmetric key cryptographic schemes.
