ABSTRACT
Often we are interested in creating a graphical display or a summary chart of the data that we have collected. One advantage to graphically displaying or summarizing data in a chart is the presentation of large amounts of information in a concise manner and this can provide a summary of the underlying characteristics of the variable of interest. Of the many different types of graphs and charts that can be used to display data, we will be discussing the following most common types in this chapter:
Histograms
Stem-and-leaf plots
Bar charts
Boxplots
Scatterplots
Marginal plots
Matrix plots
