ABSTRACT
The new sexual mantra is desire/pleasure/eroticism/satisfaction. This confronts the traditional split between men and women and between eroticism and intimacy. The new mantra is applicable to both women and men. Both partners value intimacy and eroticism. Desire is the core dimension in female and couple sexuality. This facilitates speaking a common intimacy and sexuality language about sexual feelings and scenarios. Although not clones of each other, both partners value desire/pleasure/eroticism/satisfaction. Sexual function is very important, but desire and satisfaction are more important. Pleasure and eroticism are integral to sexuality for the woman and couple.
