ABSTRACT

In considering 10.6 μm laser guidance stealth, this paper presents the design and characterization of a phase gradient meta-surface. Simulation results demonstrate that this design can redirect an impinging light into a single anomalous reflection beam with the same polarization. Compared to previous gradient meta-surfaces in infrared regimes, our samples exhibit much higher conversion efficiency (∼84%) in the anomalous reflection mode at normal incidence and retain unchanged light polarization after the anomalous reflection. This design has potential applications in infrared laser stealth.
