ABSTRACT
One of the main objectives of Working Group VII on Education and Training in Public Policy is to help member institutions, especially in developing countries with model curricula for short-term and long-term training and educational programs in public policy making. This is a task force group of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA). Contents, approach and teaching methods of any educational or training activity in the field of public policy are influenced by the conceptualization of the process of policy making and the role of administration therein. For effective learning and ease of communication between the participants and between participants and the faculty, the group should not be too large. Most of the existing training programs in third world countries are aiming at much bigger groups. The need for non-conventional methods for teaching a subject like policy analysis has been stated by many scholars and trainers.
