ABSTRACT

The venue for a proposed policy analysis training program will be the National School of Administration at the People's University in Beijing under the direction of the successor to Professor Huang Da-qiang. The National School should have its own facilities built near the People’s University in time to host the training program. An alternative venue might be the Department of International Politics at Beijing University. The training program will include teaching the participants how to use decision-aiding software in public policy evaluation. Decision-aiding software is software or methods for processing a set of goals to be achieved, alternatives available for achieving them and relations between goals and alternatives in order to choose or explain the best alternative, combination, allocation or predictive decision rule. One major activity of the participants should be to plan the development of a Chinese Policy Studies Organization analogous to the PSO in the United States.
