ABSTRACT

Bosnia has many policy problems, as well as other countries in the world. Bosnia needs to push for economic growth more than most countries. It has stagnated or even undergone negative growth during the first half of the 1990s. There will probably be some funding available from the United States, the World Bank and the European Community. On the matter of social policy, there will be a need for population control, which means birth control information and devices. A welcome outcome of improved family planning would be a dramatic fall in the abortion rate. Abortions were a frequent form of birth control in communist countries. Availability of contraceptives was thought to lead to increased sexual activity that would interfere with worker productivity. With regard to physical planning, as contrasted to social, economic and political planning, the latest technologies need to be adopted to reduce pollution. Physical and biological science policy deals with energy, health and technological innovation.
