ABSTRACT

The biosphere is the worldwide sum of all living beings, the zone of their life on Earth and their relationships, including their interaction with the nonorganic elements of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. As the most important geochemical factor and the major component of the biosphere, water deserves special attention. It is involved in the majority of events occurring in the Earth's crust. The sensitivity of water properties to environmental effects was also revealed in studies of natural geophysical fields. Some researchers believe that water properties, including its structure, have varied in the course of the Earth's evolution. Concerning the evolution of the biosphere, especially its early stages, different opinions are expressed, although the main scheme is recognized by most researchers. An important stage in the biosphere evolution is the origin of man, the only biological species that by its own will can determine the path of its development.
