ABSTRACT
This chapter examines an overview of online and CD-ROM databases which could be searched for information in the fields of computer and information science and technology. It describes some of the online databases which deal specifically with the computer and information science and technology fields on three hosts - ESA-IRS, DIALOG and NEWSNET. The chapter considers their CD-ROM equivalents as well as some additional CD-ROMs in the field which could be profitably searched. From Information Intelligence and international in scope, the monthly ONLINE NEWSLETTER covers all aspects of online and CD-ROM developments. The report on IBM is a weekly news, analysis, and forecasting letter on IBM, available to information industry executives worldwide. The chapter also describes only a representative sample of the products available in the computer science and information technology fields. The ICP CD-ROM is the equivalent of the printed ICP Software Directory published by International Computer Programs Inc.
